Orbi
Open-source AI coding agent that turns labeled GitHub Issues into independently reviewed, merged pull requests and tagged releases.
Overview
Description
Orbi is an open-source AI coding agent that turns labeled GitHub Issues into independently reviewed, merged pull requests and tagged releases. GitHub Issues are the only task queue and state store, so delivery history lives entirely in the repository as PRs, comments, and CI runs.
Features
- Issue-driven delivery: Label an Issue
ai-readyand Orbi claims it, creates an isolated worktree, and starts implementation and tests. - Independent code review: A separate review session checks each PR and requests fixes in the same run before merge is allowed.
- Automated scheduling: A systemd (Linux) or launchd (macOS) timer runs a tick every few minutes with no manual polling.
- Fail-fast error handling: Command errors stop the run immediately and label the Issue
ai-blockedfor a human decision, with no silent fallback. - Full observability: Every log line and progress comment shares a run ID, so any delivery can be traced end to end.
- Release automation: On request, Orbi runs the release gates and publishes the tag and release notes itself.
